Lendas Harbor
Lendas Harbor is a small fishing harbour in the remote village of Lendas, on the south coast of the Heraklion region at the foot of the Asterousia Mountains. Quiet and largely undeveloped, it sits beside the ruins of ancient Lebena and its healing sanctuary, serving a handful of fishing boats and the village's scattered beaches.

Lendas lies on the Libyan Sea coast south of the Messara plain, reached by a long, winding drive of about 72 kilometres from Heraklion over the Asterousia Mountains. Its small harbour shelters local fishing boats, and the village keeps a relaxed, off-the-beaten-track character, with low-key tavernas and rooms rather than large resorts. A distinctive headland — said to resemble a resting lion, giving the village its name — shelters the bay.
